About

Experienced, practical training built around real-world situations

Laered Lar exists to give professional teams training they can actually use, not a certificate for the filing cabinet. That starts with the person delivering it.

The trainer

Paramedic instructed training, delivered by one trainer

Every session is planned, delivered and followed up by the same trainer. Organisations deal with one experienced paramedic throughout, which is what makes genuinely bespoke delivery possible.

Qualsafe Awards Approved Centre certificate issued to Laered Lar Ltd, centre number 908579, dated 10/07/2026
Laered Lar Ltd is an approved Qualsafe Awards centre, authorised to deliver regulated first aid qualifications.

Professional history

A background in emergency and pre-hospital care, working in environments where decisions have to be made quickly and with limited information. Full career detail is available on request.

Training experience

Regular delivery of first aid, trauma and emergency response training to professional teams, including healthcare practices where clinical and non-clinical staff train together.

Healthcare and trauma experience

Practical experience of trauma management and medical emergencies, which is why sessions concentrate on recognition, prioritisation and doing the simple things well under pressure.

Specialist knowledge

Catastrophic bleeding control, structured casualty assessment, basic life support and team-based emergency response in workplace settings.

Training philosophy

Useful training, not a compliance exercise

Plenty of teams have sat through a first aid course and still felt unsure what to do when something happened. The aim here is the opposite: leave the session knowing what you would do, in your own building, with your own colleagues.

Confidence first

Skills are practised often enough in the session that they feel repeatable, not theoretical.

Practical application

Kit you actually hold, in the rooms you actually use, with the staff numbers you actually have.

Realistic scenarios

Situations that could plausibly happen in your setting, run at a pace the team can learn from.

Plain language

Clear explanations without unnecessary jargon, so mixed clinical and administrative groups learn together.

Credentials

Qualifications and awarding organisations

Credibility matters when training is being approved internally. Certification details are supplied in writing so they can be forwarded to partners or included in your training records.

Courses are accredited by Qualsafe Awards, one of the recognised awarding organisations for regulated and non-regulated first aid qualifications, so the certification your team receives will be understood by inspectors, insurers and partner organisations. All training is delivered by a HCPC registered Paramedic, which means the person in the room is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and works to its standards of conduct, performance and competence.
